What good is a Famille Plus resort if the equipment doesn't keep up?
Risoul 1850 has done the job for the 2025-2026 season: a free Beginner Area, a pulsed gondola and the snow kindergarten right next door. That's good. But if your little ones are dragging anvils on their feet, the infrastructure will be useless. At Loca’ski, we transform this technical chore into a moment of pleasure. We know the terrain.
Jérôme WICKY: an instructor behind the counter
Renting boards is easy. Renting the right ones is a profession. Jérôme is the shop manager, but above all he is a ski instructor. In fact, he knows exactly what it takes for a kid to initiate their first turn without ending up in the scenery. No fluff, just the right tool for teaching. Want to understand his vision? We are located on rue de la Forêt Blanche. 30 metres from the ESF meeting point and 50 metres from the slopes. It's a fact: when you're carrying the whole family's equipment on your shoulder, these few metres will be your best holiday investment.
Out with the cousin's old skis
We renew everything. The fleets are composed of 2024 to 2026 models. That's the baseline.
For the toddlers (under 1.15 m), the "Ski Baby Jun" range offers short and light skis. The goal? Successfully master that famous snowplough without getting the tips tangled. Our favorite is the Rossignol Hero pro team 4 (2026 model). A little gem of maneuverability.
For Juniors aiming for their second star, the "Ski Junior Bleu Jun" range takes over. We focus on a soft flex to bend the knees without forcing. The Rossignol Hero jr allows kids to gain confidence on the blue runs of Risoul from the very first descents.
Snowboarding from age 3?

The ordeal of boots is over
We have selected boots (from 23 to 38) designed for easy foot entry. No more tantrums at 8:30 in the morning! On the safety side, we don't compromise:
- The Helmet: Mandatory at the ESF, we provide models certified NF EN 1077, adjusted to the millimetre.
- Bindings: ISO 11088 standard respected to the letter. Weight, height, level: everything is parameterized so that they release when they should.
- The Guarantee: For €1 per day, children's equipment is covered against theft and breakage.
