In Risoul 1850, the snow changes throughout the day. Between the surface hardened by the morning cold and the altitude variations up to 2750 meters, your equipment works intensely. To maintain precise control and intact pleasure, regular maintenance is essential. At Loca’ski, we check every detail with care.
Here, we leave aside automated settings and assembly-line machine passes. In our workshop, every ski receives manual treatment. We analyze your bases to adapt our intervention to the current snow conditions of the Forêt Blanche domain. It’s a matter of precision.
Why entrust us with your skis?
Well-sharpened edges ensure your safety on hard snow. For a clean grip and efficient turn initiation, we offer personalized sharpening. Depending on your level and engagement, we precisely set the angle to 87°, 88°, 89°, or 90°.
For the glide, we practice hand hot waxing. We choose the wax according to the snow temperature. This method deeply impregnates the base for a smooth glide that lasts throughout your stay. It also protects your equipment against abrasion.
Our expertise covers all needs. If your skis show scratches due to stones, we perform base filling and refurbishment. We also check the adjustment of your bindings so you can ski with peace of mind.

At Loca’ski, every diagnosis is made by experienced mountain dwellers. Jérôme Wicky, manager of the shop, uses his instructor experience to understand your sensations. He knows from experience that poorly prepared equipment limits your pleasure on the slopes.
With two rigorous technicians, our team works in respect of artisanal standards. You can observe the operation of our workshop to see a job where manual movement replaces standardization.
Where to find us?
Ideally located on Rue de la Forêt Blanche, at the very top of the central street, the Loca’ski shop is 50 meters from the snow front. In the immediate vicinity of the SnowChill hotel and the ski lift ticket offices, our location simplifies your travel during your stay.
Simply drop off your skis with us after taking them off in the late afternoon. The Loca’ski team takes care of them during the night, and you pick them up ready from 8:30 AM the next day! We welcome you 7 days a week continuously from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
