Opening of the Forêt Blanche: key dates

Risoul 1850 is getting ready for the 2026-2027 season. The Forêt Blanche ski area, with its 185 km of slopes ranging from 1850 m to 2750 m altitude, plans a pre-opening from December 5 to 11, 2026 (snow conditions permitting). The full opening of the resort is set from December 12, 2026, to April 11, 2027. It is useful to book these slots now to ensure the availability of the best accommodation.

Accommodation according to Casabooking

Marc Cassina and Amanda Sandoval run this concierge service with 15 years of experience in the resort. They manage about sixty properties and display a rating of 9.5/10 with 'Superhost' status. This result is explained by simple facts: a welcome by a dedicated manager, rigorous cleaning, and assistance seven days a week. No bad surprises on arrival.

A technical tool makes the choice easier: 3D virtual tours. They allow you to visualize the exact layout of each rental from home. It is concrete and avoids disappointment regarding the size of the rooms.

Three chalets for group gatherings

Here are three accommodation options managed by our partner for families or groups of friends:

The Casa-Forêt Blanche is a 125 m² wooden chalet designed for 13 people. It has 6 bedrooms equipped with private showers. Its location 2 minutes walk from the ski lifts allows quick access to our shop.

The Casa-Les Heureux also offers 125 m² for 13 guests. Located 150 m from the L’Orée du Bois ski lift, it puts skiers less than 10 minutes from ESF lessons and central shops.

The Casa-Amélie features a terrace with a view and private parking. It is a pragmatic choice for those who prioritize direct access to the slopes and the convenience of parking.

Loca’ski, Jérôme Wicky’s workshop

Good accommodation goes hand in hand with well-prepared equipment. At Loca’ski, Jérôme Wicky, a ski instructor and local, supervises a team of two ski technicians. The shop is a family business run by professional mountain people.

The shop's location at 146 Rue de la Forêt Blanche, in Les Chalps, is a strong point. We are located at the top of the main street: 50 m from the slopes, 10 m from the first shops, and 100 m from the public car park. This geographical situation avoids carrying equipment over long distances.

We manage a fleet of over 500 pairs of recent skis. To save time on the morning of the first day, you can pick up your equipment the evening before from 5:30 p.m. It is an efficient solution.
