The construction work for the new L'Homme de Pierre chairlift in Risoul is rapidly progressing! The dismantling of the old chairlift is now complete. Currently, the teams are busy assembling the pylons, pouring concrete blocks, and refining the landscaping of the arrival area at the snow front and the Mayt slope, according to Labellemontagne. Remember, the new L'Homme de Pierre chairlift promises a ride of only 6 minutes, compared to the previous 25 minutes. It will replace the "homme de pierre" ski lift and the Césier chairlift, as part of the station's modernization strategy. New snowmakers will be installed to ensure quality snow throughout the season. The slopes will also benefit from a reconstruction.
Meanwhile, a heartwarming initiative has emerged: the old seats of the Césier chairlift are being auctioned off for charity. These seats can become original decoration pieces or even swings. The first auction, benefiting the Ligue contre le cancer, took place from September 9 to 23. Coming up next, from October 7 to 21, a new auction will be organized in favor of Mountain Riders, an association dedicated to sustainable development education in the mountains. Finally, from November 11 to 25, the auctions will benefit 82-400 Alpinisme, which works to provide mountain access to underprivileged people. A great idea for Christmas gifts, an opportunity to do a good deed, and a unique souvenir from vacations in Risoul!
Expect to see significant advances in the construction of the new chairlift in the coming weeks.
